Key Responsibilities:
- Provide generalist HR support, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and policy advice.
- Manage a busy inbox, triaging and responding to HR queries in a timely manner.
- Utilize the Aurizon payroll system for payroll processing and related HR duties.
- Onboard new employees quickly and effectively, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Advise and support managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism, maintaining a high level of integrity.
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role (government experience is not required).
- A strong desire to learn and adapt quickly to new policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Comfortable working with the Aurizon payroll system or a similar payroll system.
- Ability to handle a high volume of tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive, confidential information.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude.
