Troocoo Government are partnering with a key QLD State Government client to find an experienced A05 Senior Executive Assistant to support their Deputy Director General! This opportunity is a temporary labour hire contract for an initial 3-months, with potential for permanency. The role is in the office full-time (5-days onsite) in Brisbane's CBD.
The Role
As the A05 Senior Executive Assistant you will provide a range of executive, administrative, and business support services to the Deputy Director-General, the Office of the Deputy Director-General (ODDG), and the Division in a fast-paced corporate environment.
You will be expected to:
- Provide confidential executive support services including diary management, coordination of briefing and meeting papers, and travel arrangements.
- Assist with meeting coordination and preparation of agendas, recording and circulating of minutes and follow up of action items.
- Liaise with the Office of the Director-General and external boards and committees on behalf of the DDG, attending to visitors, and directing enquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist the divisional management, and quality assurance of correspondence and materials prepared by the division to ensure accuracy and compliance with executive and Ministerial style guides and requirements using the department’s ministerial and executive correspondence system.
- Support the Office of the Director-General to provide high level timely business operations including governance, correspondence, business support, advice, and administration as required.
- Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
A competitive applicant for the A05 Senior Executive Assistant position would have skills & experience and demonstrated understanding in the following areas:
- Tenured (3-5 years min.) experience within an Executive Assistant capacity.
- A demonstrated ability to be a positive contributor to a small, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work digitally as we they are a paper-light department, or an ability to rapidly acquire these skills.
- Prior experience supporting a Deputy Director General would be highly beneficial.
- Previous exposure to QLD State Government would be desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work 5-days per week onsite in Brisbane.
