You will be doing:
You will be supporting the Queensland community service system, and place-based and community focused approaches to building community well-being.
Investing in programs that promote disaster preparedness, community connection and social cohesion at a local level to increase individual family and community resilience:
- Support the development, coordination and implementation of programs and contract management materials and approaches that support the effective delivery of services relevant to the work area.
- Provide sound program advice and direction in relation to human service initiatives.
- Actively participate in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders within and across government and broader human services networks.
- Participate in effective procurement processes including market analysis and commissioning procedures when required and in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the oversight of systemic compliance with legislation, investment specifications or guidelines and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare a range of written materials that support advice to government, including correspondence, briefing material, and information papers concerned with the initiatives delivered by the work area.
- Contribute to a professional environment through personal commitment to, ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, skills development, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
- As a member of the team, undertake tasks allocated by the Manager or Director in a constantly changing work environment to support innovation and efficient delivery.
