Key responsibilities of this role:
- Lead and manage the Finance and Governance team to co-ordinate business and administrative functions including finance, budget and assets.
- Provide authoritative advice and guidance to the program on corporate governance matters including finance and asset management to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with whole of government and departmental policies.
- Plan, negotiate, manage, and evaluate the provision of the program’s finance and governance services in collaboration with the Director, Business Services.
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of business-related policies, practices and technologies that represent best practice and continuous improvement to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining compliance with relevant statutory and departmental requirements.
- Develop collaborative relationships with other business units in the greater organisation and the Business Corporate Partnership and external stakeholders to deliver Finance and Governance Services to the program.
- Manage sensitive and confidential issues and/or undertake research and project management activities as requested by the Director, Business Services or the Program Executive.
- Manage, draft and quality assure finance and governance related executive correspondence and briefing documents for Director, Business Services and Program Executive for endorsement.
