About the Role
As Advocacy and Regulatory Strategy Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and shaping public policy that supports Queensland businesses. You will craft high-quality, data-driven reports, thought leadership pieces, and policy submissions that drive meaningful change. Your work will inform decision-makers, influence government policy, and ensure the business community’s voice is heard.
What You’ll Do
- Develop high-quality policy briefs, discussion papers, and research reports.
- Analyse economic, legislative, and social trends impacting Queensland businesses.
- Lead policy development and advocacy efforts to influence government decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with government, industry stakeholders, and business leaders.
- Represent Business Chamber Queensland at key industry events and meetings.
- Monitor regulatory and political changes, providing timely advice to leadership.
You will have a tertiary qualification in politics, public affairs, economics, business, law, or a related field, along with experience in policy writing, public affairs, advocacy, or government relations.
Your exceptional writing skills will allow you to simplify complex policy issues, while your strong analytical and research skills will enable you to take a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Additionally, you will have the ability to engage with government and industry stakeholders effectively. A self-motivated and proactive mindset will help you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can work independently and drive impactful policy initiatives.
