We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Operations Support Leader to join our dedicated team. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care and compliance with accreditation standards across multiple residential aged care facilities. Working closely with Regional Operations Managers, this position provides clinical leadership and day-to-day support to Residential Managers and Clinical Managers, fostering improved care outcomes for our residents and maintaining high standards of excellence in care provision.

Position Accountabilities:
Clinical Oversight and Support:
- Provide clinical guidance and support to Residential Managers, Clinical Managers, Clinical Nurses, and Registered Nurses to ensure best practice care delivery.
- Conduct assessments to ensure clinical practices align with policies and procedures, meeting regulatory standards and best practices.
- Provide incident management support with an emphasis on learning and prevention.
- Monitor clinical data trends and identify opportunities for improvement and staff development.
- Assist the Head of Clinical Practice in implementing changes in clinical frameworks and policies.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners to ensure acute and complex care needs are met.
- Support the Quality Support Manager to ensure compliance with the National Aged Care Quality Indicators Program.
- Deliver targeted training based on clinical risk trends and areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the clinical team.
- Work closely with Regional Operations Managers and key stakeholders to develop and implement clinical care policies and procedures.
- Promote communication and coordination between clinical staff, Residential Managers, and other departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide reports and updates to the Governance Team related to clinical monitoring and audit findings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Governance team and regulatory bodies to address non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse or allied health practitioner) required.
- In-depth understanding of clinical management principles and continuous improvement in an aged care setting.
- Proven ability to mentor, support, and grow clinical teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with management, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of current legislative requirements and Aged Care Standards.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening or Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check required before commencing.
- Statutory Declaration regarding any future charges or convictions that could impact your role.
- Ability to travel between sites and occasionally interstate or intrastate, including overnight stays.
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of employment.
- Must meet vaccination requirements in line with government health directives and client’s vaccination policy.
