An exciting new contract opportunity is readily available for a Clinical Subject Matter Expert to join this leading and well know Non for Profit Organisation based in Brisbane CBD offices.

The  The Clinical SME – Digital Transformation is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in digital health transformation for the rollout of the Organisations Health Oracle Cerner Millennium Electronic Medical Record and will be required to translate clinical and business requirements into EMR solutions.

Key Responsibilities of the Clinical SME will be as below:

  • Lead and coordinate change management, business readiness and transformation activities to deliver a successful business outcome with a customer-centric approach

  • Scope the current customer challenges, including identifying, reviewing, auditing and prioritising business system and application issues and new requirements
  • Provide expert level informatics input in the implementation and optimisation of clinical information systems
  • Translate business requirements into digital solutions and ensure solution designs and products being implemented will deliver the return on investment outlined in the initiative business case
  • Support development and delivery of appropriate and relevant training collateral, enabling an uplift in skills for clinical and administrative staff in best practice use of an EMR system
  • Develop benefits realisation plans and actively lead the collection, analysis and reporting of data to evaluate system performance, business adoption and benefits
  • Establish and manage customer-focused stakeholder engagement and partnerships with the business areas to foster successful project and operational delivery
  • Participate in implementation and business continuity planning, including the assessment of business impacts and development of stakeholder communications 
  • Participate in other activities and produce other deliverables as requested by the General Manager, Customer Delivery Manager and Senior Clinical Delivery Manager within the Clinical and Care Unit 
To be considered for this role, you will be required to demonstrate the following key areas of professional and technical competencies:
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with the Oracle Cerner Millennium Electronic Medical Record either as a regular clinical end user or in implementation or optimisation activities
  • Demonstrated expert level knowledge and experience in the implementation and optimisation of clinical information systems in various clinical contexts
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large and complex digital health transformation initiatives in healthcare organisations
  • Detailed understanding of various aspects of healthcare delivery and models of care
  • Proven ability to deliver effective change management and communication strategies Understanding of project delivery principles 
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve goals 
  • Proven ability to collect, analyse and report data to evaluate system performance, business adoption and benefits
