Our client is seeking a detail-oriented specialist to conduct independent reviews of CTP insurance claims under the Motor Accident Injuries Act (MAIA). This role plays a key part in ensuring fair, transparent, and timely resolutions, supporting the dispute resolution process while maintaining compliance with legislative requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent reviews of CTP claims decisions, applying relevant legislative provisions to ensure accurate outcomes.
- Prepare Certificates of Determination and Statements of Reasons that clearly communicate review findings.
- Stay up to date with legislative changes, Personal Injury Commission decisions, and court rulings to ensure compliance.
- Analyse claim trends and contribute to reporting that improves the effectiveness of claims management.
- Communicate complex legal or technical findings, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support best-practice dispute resolution.
- Experience in insurance claims, ideally you will have experience also dealing with the NSW CTP MAIA scheme.
- Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health, or related disciplines.
- Strong skills in dispute resolution, complaints handling, and decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings in plain English.
