We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join a large finance team and provide specific business units with strategic insight and services.


As a Finance Business Parter, you will work in a business partnering model to deliver organisational value through contemporary finance practices.

Your contribution
Using your understanding and experience in finance, you will:
  • analyse and interpret business information to support decision making
  • support the program delivery of functional commitments
  • strive to become trusted advisors with your designated business unit
  • conduct end-to-end guidance and support for preparation, monitoring and reporting for planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • prepare month end tasks including month end reporting
  • maintain knowledge of accounting standards and identify the impact of changes
  • prepare draft financial statements
  • provide accurate and timely advice on administrative and financial issues based on the application and interpretation of relevant legislation, standards and departmental policies and procedures
  • ensure the integrity of general ledger accounts within an accrual environment
  • prepare month end processes and ensure all appropriate journals are accurately identified and processed in a timely manner
  • prepare monthly, quarterly and annual board reporting and analysis
  • prepare annual budgets for multiple cost centres and quarterly re-forecasts
  • conduct monthly results meetings with the senior leadership team
  • maintain suspense and clearing accounts
  • prepare general ledger reconciliations and variance resolution
  • any other tasks as directed from time to time as directed by your supervisor
This position reports to the Team Leader Financial and Investment Management. 
For this role, we will consider how you:
  • apply experience in accrual accounting, financial legislation, accounting standards and the implementation of financial controls
  • demonstrate your ability to act as a trusted business partner fostering collaborative relationships and providing financial guidance
  • prepare monthly management reporting to deliver insights and enable the business to manage financial outcomes
  • conduct financial analyses, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
