About the Role:
This role requires strategic leadership in developing and executing comprehensive strategies across both owned and third-party ecommerce platforms. With full P&L ownership, the Head of Ecommerce will play a key role in identifying and driving new sales opportunities, optimising digital channels, and ensuring the ecommerce channel aligns with ghd’s broader growth strategy.
A significant part of this role involves leveraging innovative digital marketing techniques to optimise website traffic, improve conversion rates, and enhance the customer experience across all platforms.
The ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders will be critical to shaping decisions and achieving sustainable growth.
Beyond strategy and execution, the Head of Ecommerce is tasked with building and mentoring a high-performing team, fostering an environment that promotes professional growth, innovation, and accountability.
By maintaining a balance between strategic vision & execution and hands-on leadership, the Head of Ecommerce will ensure that the channel becomes a major driver of ghd’s overall success, delivering measurable results and positioning the brand as a leader in the ANZ market.
This role is not just about maintaining the status quo but pushing boundaries to explore new opportunities, drive transformation, and achieve long-term growth.
About the Person:
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a senior ecommerce role, demonstrating a proven ability to lead and mentor small teams while effectively managing both direct and third-party marketing channels.
Proven experience in leveraging Amazon as a key sales platform is essential, reflecting a deep understanding of its strategic potential. Strong analytical and advanced problem-solving skills are critical, alongside expertise in implementing data-driven strategies to optimise sales performance and achieve business objectives.
A comprehensive understanding of PPC, SEO, and paid media campaign management is required, coupled with exceptional communication and influencing skills to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth and establishing a competitive edge within the ANZ ecommerce landscape.
