Our client is a leading name within the financial services industry. They are investing heavily in to the development of their Data capability. As such a newly created opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Lead Data Architect to join the team. The current greenfield landscape provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to help forge the Data landscape from an architectural standpoint.
The Role:
As a valued member of the organization, you will play a key role in modernising and driving the Data Architecture. You will partner with senior leaders across a selection of business units. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT professionals and engineers to design and implement data solutions that align with business objectives.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data strategy, encompassing data modelling, data integration, data warehousing and data governance.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable and sustainable data architecture solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of data architecture solutions, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
- Responsibility for overseeing the design, development and upkeep of enterprise-level data ingestion processes, data pipelines, and abstraction layers.
- Define and enforce data governance policies, including data quality, data security, and data lifecycle management.
- Design and optimize data infrastructure to support the development and scaling of Large Language Models (LLMs) and machine learning (ML) models,
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the data architecture space and make recommendations for their adoption.
The Successful candidate:
- You will have proven experience as a Data Architect
- You will have come from a Data Engineering background
- You will have experience in driving architectural change that transforms and optimizes complex businesses.
- Hands-on experience with data technologies and cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- It will be advantageous to have experience with Appian, Ataccama and H2O
- Possess strong business acumen with an ability to engage, collaborate and influence people across different business units and stakeholders and at all levels
- $200k - $220k + super + bonus
- This role can be based anywhere on the East Coast of Australia
