In your role, you will work across the organisation to provide strategic legislative and policy advice, predominantly on information access and privacy issues for the organisation. This includes, preparing submissions on legislative and policy initiatives, undertaking and commissioning policy research.
Your key responsibilities
- Provide and commission timely, strategic and authoritative policy advice on complex and emerging legislative and policy issues.
- Undertake research and analyse, monitor and identify risks and options, and prepare submissions, briefings, reports and correspondence on complex legislative and policy issues regarding information privacy and access issues, including the use of AI and other emerging technologies.
- Prepare submissions and correspondence on behalf of the organisation and support the leaders in appearances before parliamentary committees and other policy review forums.
- Liaise with Queensland public sector agencies including departments, local government, universities, Hospital and Health Services, public authorities and organisations from other jurisdictions and the community regarding policy projects.
- Participate in projects to contribute to the achievement of our strategic goals.
- Represent the leaders at meetings and forums with stakeholders, and parliamentary committees, as required.
- Liaise with counterparts in other jurisdictions and the community.
