The Role

Reporting into the ANZ Head of Supply Chain, this NPD Buyer manages the relationship between Domino’s existing and new suppliers across both the food and consumables categories, and sources the required products in line with the promotional calendar across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with the product development and culinary teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on ingredient and material selection.
  • Manage procurement timelines and deliverables for new product development projects.
  • Conduct meetings with new suppliers to introduce them to Domino’s and the company’s operational and procurement ethos.
  • Ensure all suppliers meet ANZ regulatory and food safety standards and assist in obtaining necessary certifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify emerging products and ingredients that could enhance menu offerings.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favourable agreements while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Forecast demand requirements for new products.
  • Attend franchisee meetings to present and discuss New Product Development status and implementation.
  • Maintain required pricing documentation and costing analysis for finance and auditing purposes.
  • Assist in managing a supplier spend of over $250 million per annum.  
  • Conduct supplier business review meetings on a weekly, fortnightly, or quarterly basis.
  • Review and put forward Supplier Contracts, Confidentiality Agreements and Terms & Conditions documents to the Legal Department
  • Review opportunities to remove unnecessary costs, diversify the supplier base, or consolidate the supplier base while maintaining or improving quality and commercial benefits.
Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You have likely seen success in your previous positions due to your strong attention to detail skills, as well as your ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.  
  • Proven experience within a Procurement / Sourcing / Buyer role
  • Food industry experience is highly desirable
  • Intermediate Excel skills and ability to analyse and interpret data is required
  • Skilled in analysing forecasts, supplier quotes, and project feasibility
  • Strong understanding of margin targets, cost modelling, and pricing strategies
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Must have a flexible approach to work and undertake new tasks quickly
  • Ability to negotiate improved outcomes for business units

This position works closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Finance, Suppliers and Distribution Centre’s so effective relationship management and collaboration skills are crucial.
