Troocoo is proud to be partnering with a leading organisation based in Brisbane CBD. Due to continued growth and transformation, they are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team initially on a 6 month contract basis.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will be responsible for managing pre-award procurement activities across a diverse range of goods and some services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare procurement and contracting documentation, including approvals, tenders, evaluations, award recommendations, variations, and terminations.
- Engage in sourcing and purchasing across various categories, predominantly goods and some services.
- Ensure the successful transition and implementation of new contracts, suppliers, and processes to business stakeholders.
- Support the development and promotion of procurement strategies, including category planning, vendor management, risk management, and commercial outcomes.
- Conduct analysis and reporting on supplier performance, supply chain risks, and procurement activities to drive improvements and cost savings.
- Undertake business needs assessments, supply market analysis, and commercial risk evaluations to inform procurement decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, senior leaders, and vendors to enhance commercial and business outcomes.
- Analyse financial expenditure data and produce reports to support the success of procurement strategies.
- Proven experience in a pre-award procurement, category management, or contract specialist role.
- Queensland Government industry experience is preferred but not essential.
- Outcome-driven with a strong ability to manage procurement processes efficiently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
