We are seeking to engage a qualified and experienced Project Scheduler to work with and assist a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver a critical Far North Queensland reconstruction project.

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for:
  • Assisting FND's Program Control's team, FND's Principal Advisor (Program Performance) and FND's DRFA Program Management Team in ensuring projects are created in accordance with the organsiations  business rules
  • Key participant in the development of program controls and reporting during all phases of the program
  • Maintain project's Primavera P6 schedules in accordance with the business area requirements and rules
  • Ensuring every project schedule is updated in the organisation systems every month to inform consolidated end of month reporting
  • Ensure data integrity and alignment, including actioning action requests from the FND
  • Principal Advisor (Program Performance) and NDP Team in relation to the project schedules
  • Liaise with the FND Principal Advisor (Program Performance) to ensure compliance with relevant procedural requirements, NDP and QTRIP business rules; and Monitor and report on the effectiveness and performance of project management and scheduling activities and adherence to time management strategies, policies and systems.
The Project Scheduler role requires:

  • Advanced listening skills so that issues and actions are recorded concisely and requested tasks carried out accurately in accordance with instructions
  • Skillful at one-to-one interaction to respond to task clarification requirements, and being assertive when necessary to influence others to achieve deadlines.
  Mandatory Requirements
  
  • Possession of technical and/or project management qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution or a qualification in a relevant scheduling or transport infrastructure construction discipline.
  • Detailed knowledge and extensive experience in the use of the Oracle Primavera Product Suite;
  • Detailed knowledge and extensive experience in the advanced use of Microsoft Excel;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ civil commercial planning, construction scheduling and reporting experience for civil construction projects
Substantial level of skill in working autonomously, setting goals and identifying outcomes while being part of a team; and Substantial level of skill in oral and written communication, negotiation skills and in writing clear and concise technical reports.
