Position Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Regional Manager to provide operational leadership and support across multiple residential aged care homes within the region. This key leadership role involves mentoring and coaching Residential Managers, providing relief during leave periods, and offering expert non-clinical operational guidance to ensure the highest quality of service delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal stakeholder experiences, financial performance, human resources, and operational management to guarantee the wellbeing of residents in their care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and coach Residential Managers to create a high-performance culture that aligns with the philosophy of "Known and Loved."
  • Operational Support: Provide operational relief for Residential Managers during periods of leave and share resources where necessary to ensure smooth operations across homes.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver care that meets accreditation standards and relevant regulations.
  • Collaboration: Partner with clinical, quality, and business performance teams to optimize services and funding across the region.
  • Resource & Financial Management: Oversee staffing, rosters, recruitment, and financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Health & Safety: Lead the implementation of workplace health and safety policies and participate in incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Cultural Development: Promote the "Known and Loved" cultural program, fostering autonomy in operations while providing essential support to each home.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business management, or human services (or equivalent experience). A clinical background is highly desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role within the health or aged care sector, with experience managing a residential aged care home.
  • Skills: Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams, drive operational performance, and manage resources effectively.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Aged Care Accreditation Standards, legislative requirements, and experience in accreditation reviews.
Essential Requirements:
  • Evidence of current NDIS Worker Screening or Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Ability to travel within the region (in some cases, interstate) with occasional overnight stays.
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements as per government health directives.
