You will provide technical advice to ensure efficient and effective asset management of state-controlled road infrastructure within the Region. This position is based in the Asset Management team with a strong focus on providing technical expertise to support design, construction, and maintenance processes.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Conduct assessments of road infrastructure and prepare reports on recommended engineering solutions to particular problems.
- Develop asset management strategies for transport infrastructure that minimise whole of life costs.
- Provide support and advice on the planning and design process, to ensure delivery of program outcomes, value for money and best practice are achieved.
- Determine the engineering requirements, including materials, critical components, and systems, involved in supporting project management and delivery.
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
- Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to facilitate the delivery of road projects to a high and consistent standard.
- Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matter relationg to transport infrastructure delivery activities.
- In managing projects, you will have the responsibility to plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff that would include encouraging teamwork and fostering a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
- Complete tasks as directed by the Principal Engineer (Asset Management)
A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by
Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- Current holder of Class C driver's licence.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
- Provision of own suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Criminal History Screening must be undertaken by the successful candidate.
