We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst (Technical) to join a cross-functional team responsible for supporting and modernizing a critical industry platform. This role will be instrumental in the analysis, validation, and testing of an enterprise-level system as it transitions to a modern cloud-based application.
About the Role
You will play a key part in the uplift of a legacy system to a new platform, ensuring a smooth transition while maintaining business continuity. Your work will span business analysis, system validation, data verification, user story development, and stakeholder engagement. You will also contribute to the ongoing support of the existing system while collaborating with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Business Analysis & testing for application screens, workflows, reports, and user access transitioning to a new platform.
- Validate data search results and compare outputs between legacy and modernized systems.
- Test and validate file submissions, workflow records, error handling, and data integrity.
- Work closely with developers to document, test, and support their work.
- Liaise with stakeholders to elicit business requirements and facilitate testing.
- Lead Agile ceremonies and maintain documentation in JIRA & Confluence.
- Familiarize with the legacy system to ensure effective parallel validation between the old and new platforms.
- Strong business analysis and system validation experience.
- Background in legacy system transition to modern applications.
- Experience with data migration, validation testing, and system integration.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint planning.
- Ability to conduct process analysis and facilitate workshops.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL, Java-based applications, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Knowledge of workflow automation platforms such as Appian (or similar).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Understanding of Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance and Personal Injury legislation.
- Experience working in government or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Figma, PowerBI, and Databricks.
