About the Role

Our is QLD State Government client, based in Brisbane's Northern Suburbs is seeking two highly skilled Test Analysts to join a large and active Program of work. 

This Project focuses on resolving high-priority system issues in the systems, and aims to address high priority backlog items, improving customer outcomes through faster and more accurate issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use ISTQB test design techniques.
  • Create and maintain test cases and test suites from analysis of business, functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Identify test data and environment requirements.
  • Produce test traceability from specifications to test cases and record test outcomes.
  • Capture test evidence to validate test execution activities.
  • Report and action incidents/defects.
Required Skills and Experience
  • College or University diploma/degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
  • Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)
  • Understanding of API mechanisms and authentication (Application Programmer Interface).
  • Strong understanding of TestOps /DevOps practices and extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks in the cloud.
  • Proven ability to implement shift-left testing practices.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC tools and practices, ensuring that infrastructure changes are tested and validated as part of the CI/CD pipelines.

Technologies in scope for testing / testing support:
  • IBM DB2, Mainframe (z/OS – z/VM), CICS (CA Gen)
  • Mainframe batch jobs OR Control-M GUI – Java Batch
  • IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Middleware
  • Web Services (XML/SOAP) and some Integration Platform API testing (MuleSoft)
Test Tools: JMeter / SoapUI / ReadyAPI
