The Business Analyst is responsible for working collaboratively with customers to develop business requirements and support the effective delivery of digital technology systems and solutions using agile methodologies.

Solutions may range from large enterprise systems to small information systems and the role plays and integral role in ensuring all solutions deliver high-quality outcomes for the organisation that provide business value and maximum return on investment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role will have primary accountability to achieve the required performance for the responsibilities listed below:
  • Highly effective planning, elicitation and management of business requirements throughout the project lifecycle using agile/adaptive delivery methods.
  • Consult with assigned customer area on business needs, information systems requirements and opportunities
  • Lead the gathering, validating and documenting of business requirements​ for system modifications, enhancement and implementations
  • Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts
  • Support business transition and helping to establish change
  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Proactive planning, analysis, design and implementation of corporate business systems
  • Perform any other duties that are reasonably within the competency, skills and training if the incumbent as may be directed from time to time by the position’s supervisor.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Substantial experience working in a Business Analyst role, ideally in a dynamic, complex environment.
  • Substantial experience working collaboratively across a dynamic organisation to achieve desired customer outcomes.
  • Effective planning, elicitation and management of business requirements skills throughout the project lifecycle including an understanding of agile/adaptive delivery methods.
  • Project management experience, with involvement in delivering major system implementations.
  • High level communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to remain composed and calm in any circumstance.
This role is available for a January 2025 start.  While a hybrid working environment may be offered to the successful candidate, you will be required to attend the office (located in Ipswich) up to 3 days per week.
