This critical position is responsible for overseeing daily operations across their national warehousing network and will drive strategic initiatives to optimise efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and position the business for sustainable growth.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, and as part of the executive leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing operational excellence across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring alignment with company vision, values, and standards.
- Develop and standardise workflows, processes, and operational policies across all branches.
- Mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring the seamless integration of new processes and technologies.
- Analyse and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support future growth opportunities.
- Oversee warehouse management systems (WMS), transport logistics, and plant/equipment initiatives.
- Ensure operational compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and drive environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Provide data-driven insights and monthly performance reports to the Executive Leadership Team.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (MBA highly regarded).
- Extensive experience in senior operational management or business analysis roles, preferably in warehousing or logistics.
- A proven track record of delivering operational efficiency and driving transformational change.
- Expertise in project management, risk assessment, and implementing technology-driven solutions.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, ROI analysis, and P&L management.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels.
- High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a growth mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
